Overview
The primary goals of the MSc in Computer Science is to produce
graduates who can conduct research in fields of artificial
intelligence, software engineering, computer networks and security,
work in academia and industry.
This is a two-year program (4 semesters) with the first year being
comprised of course work and the second year for thesis. For
coursework there are 10 units, 5 units in both semesters.
The program is offered via a blended mode of learning where learning
and formative assessments are offered online but end of semester
examinations are physical. Additionally, in the second year of
thesis writing some presentations will be physical (this will be
confirmed by the department in the course of your study)

The thesis shall be internally and externally examined and shall be orally defended in the presence of a panel of specialists selected. The thesis is a substantial research project or academic study completed as part of the requirements for the master’s degree. Thesis is defined as a one academic year research work entailing proposal writing, data collection, analysis and presentation of research findings for assessment. The rationale for opting for the thesis is to provide the learners with an opportunity to identify an existing researchable area that adds value in the field of computer science.
